I set up a gaming corner in my bedroom last night, now my TV is crackling and the light is flickering as if Nosferatu in the Krusty Krab had gotten boring… So far I've only hooked my TV and the ps4 to an extension cable, someone knows what's going on and should I have a fire extinguisher ready?
Maybe these are signs of a connection to the underworld and the Mind Flayer is looking for you soon… Joking aside:
Sounds like your fuse is overloaded, maybe there are too many devices in one power strip. Try to relieve the sockets a bit, i.e. To switch a few things and not use your entire gaming corner based on one socket.
Sounds like a loose connection. Can be room-related, should other rooms be conspicuous, possibly also distribution / house connection or branch sleeve in the street. Should someone take a quick look and stop using the circuit…
In advance, a loose light bulb could crackle and cause the disturbances. So check the light source, whether it is firmly attached…
Seems to be only in one room… I already turned off the main switch for a few minutes, in the naive hope it would help.
Then I'll check the lamps, thank you very much.
At the moment it was quiet, I checked the lamps anyway, but they all sat properly and firmly in the socket.
Then there could be a loose clamp in the installation. This does not always have to be noticeable… Observe, and if it occurs repeatedly, get to the bottom of the cause (let it) … Crackling, creaking and flickering are great signs of a loose connection. In the worst case, this can lead to a fire…
I will do it, thank you 💪
I knew I should have covered my tracks better, damn it… Now I have to find elfi and the others and face the mind flayer, I knew that day would come… 🤣
So only have a maximum of one television and one console per socket, unfortunately the crackling and co is even if only the television is connected and the light is switched on 😅
Thanks for the damn humorous answer, has just completely saved my mood 🤣
