I've been thinking about starting streaming on Twitch for a while now. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to look for before I start. So how it works with donations and stuff. Can you get donations from the start? Does anything have to be reported anywhere? Do I have to register a business to receive money? How does it work with affiliates and partners? Is anything necessary for that, apart from the requirements of Twitch?
I don't want to start streaming out of the money, but I'm just afraid of any bad consequences in the long run. I prefer to know what to look for before I start. If I ask Google, I can only find some information, and if I do, then only from Germany.
FYI: I'm 22.
You must state the donations in your tax return.
As long as you stay with the donations for less than 2000 euro per month, you don't have to register a business
