I have a question about Magic
namely the following:
I have a 6/6 double-strung creature
My opponent is 5/5 Indestructible + alert
He attacks me with 5/5 Indestructible + alertness and I block with my 6/6 double strike
Will my creature still take 5 damage?
I started Magic on the xBox and it was calculated like this:
The 5/5 Indestructible + Alertness creature has been dealt 6 damage and would die as it has Indestructibility, it has been tapped and my 6/6 double hit creature has escaped combat without combat damage.
I have scoured some pages but found nothing tangible to such a rule.
Please tell me exactly what a fight looks like.
First, the first strike combat damage is dealt, so his 5 / 5er gets 6 damage.
Second, the normal combat damage is dealt. His 5 / 5er gets 6 more damage and your 6 / 6er gets 5 damage, this happens at the same time.
Both creatures survive.
Why this could have been different in a video game I do not know.
Many thanks for the answer
well have already found some things that act from console to pc and the right card game differently
The game's behavior reminds me of the ability to regenerate, which used to be very common, but lost its popularity with the introduction of indestructible creatures and was eventually completely replaced (much like shroud was replaced by hexproof).
Can it be that the 5/5 creature was not indestructible, but a regeneration shield was built?
Example of a creature with regeneration ability:

"Regenerate" rule extract: https://www.mtg-forum.de/wiki/regeln: regenerate
There was indestructibility as far as I can remember
to be able to say it exactly I would have to rauskruschen my old 360 xbox again and guggen which was the magic parts of the
