I'm pretty inexperienced in technology and when I picked my daughter up from school, she loudly complained that her Nintendo Switch Joy Cons were broken / crazy.
Since I'm not so familiar with such things now, I thought I would ask you guys.
So if she plays Harry Potter Lego, for example, then her controls are crazy. I don't know what it is called but there's this part (here is a photo) that you can move back and forth.
She thinks that this part is crazy and then, for example, she just walks straight ahead even though she doesn't want to. My son has been complaining about it for a long time. He says when he plays Minecraft he often loses his world because the controls just keep running. And he can't add any new items (?) To this grid because the controls don't work. (Both have mentioned a number of terms that I don't know 😅)
Question: Do I have to buy new Joy Cons or is there some kind of trick how to fix this error?
Stay healthy!
In the settings you can calibrate the Joy cons, it's worth a try
Thank you. I'll try that right away!
A friend once told me that contact spray helped with him. But now I don't know whether he simply stinked the joysticks when they were assembled, or whether he disassembled the Joycons in order to gain better access to the joystick contacts. Disassembly requires special tools, or a special idea.
But as I said, first try to calibrate.
Jo, then let me know if it works.
This is the infamous Joy con Drift. Either you send it in for repair (or you have a guarantee), or you spray the stick with a contact spray. It's best to just watch a tutorial on YouTube.
Unfortunately it didn't work now. I think I'll just buy new ones there now.
