Personally, I think the Nintendo 3DS XL is better because it has a replaceable battery, looks nicer, has good games and you can play DS games on it. The Nintendo DS also had a lot of puzzle games.
The Switch is more of a "real" console whereas the DS is a pure handheld device.
And I don't like handheld that much.
But it's a matter of taste.
Yes.
You can't really compare it. A little less than 5 years lie between the release of the two consoles. Both consoles remain unique to me. But in itself I think many would say Switch, simply because everything is more advanced in general. The childhood dream remains the DS / 3DS.
Simply because I've had the Nintendo 3DS XL for 4 years and have had so many hours of play on it that the Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, is exciting and new. I also have both consoles at home. Games are no longer produced for the 3DS either. Another plus point with the Switch is that you can play well-known games on the Switch that were otherwise only for PC or other consoles, so I have Skyrim, Dark Souls II and Mortal Kombat 11 for the Switch and also games like Assassin's Creed is there for the switch. These are all games that I've wanted to play for a long time but never been able to because I don't gamble on the PC or other consoles, if only because I can't cope with the controls, now I can finally play my favorite games on the switch. For this reason, I think the Switch is better but now and then the nostalgia grabs me and I get the 3DS XL out again and play with it. Although I have to honestly say that I'm currently not gambling on either of them.
I would underline "correct" here, the switch is simply not efficient from whichever direction you see it. A PS or Xbox is 10 times better that it is so bad because it is mobile, I'm not considered an argument for that, we just have to look into the laptop market (500 euro laptops already have a ryzen 5 4600h with a gtx 1650 in it).
If I want something relatively mobile then I take a 3ds and no switch that is half-baked
The Switch also uses a different target group than a PS or Xbox, which you can see in the games alone. Of course, anyone who wants the best possible performance and gaming is wrong with the Switch.
But that was not asked here.
Has more & better games. Has 3D function etc.
