Hi, I'm looking for a new monitor, because I currently use a 60 hz monitor and would like to upgrade to a 144 hz monitor. My choice now lies between the AOC C24G1 and the BenQ Zowie XL2411P. Games I mainly play are definitely CSGO and by the way Fifa (on the PS4), Rocket League (PC), Mario Kart (Nintendo Switch), F1 (PC) possibly Overwatch (PC), but primarily CSGO. I'm just a bit unsure about the AOC if Curved for gaming is really that good or for CSGO.
Curved has neither an advantage nor a real disadvantage in my opinion.
The AOC is rather recommended, because he has a better VA panel. Likewise, the P / L ratio is better.
The AOC. The BenQ has a TN panel, I would not do that today. Either VA like the AOC, or an IPS.
Thank you for your answer. I just read that for CSGO a VA panel is rather less recommendable, since it can come to input lags unlike a TN panel, do you know if that's true, or which one is to be preferred for this tactical shooter?
Also thank you for your answer, as just replied, I have often read that for CSGO a VA panel is a disadvantage, since it can come to input lags, in contrast to the TN which is preferred by the majority. Do you know if that's true, or which is better for CSGO now, have something to worry about the Curved
The differences are in the panel type, the AOC has VA, which is considered to be more color intensive, TN generally has the shorter response time

The AOC also has FreeSync, which is important in games where you can't hold the 144Fps.
If only for CS: GO, then the Benq might be more interesting. Otherwise the AOC.
That's right, but the AOC is one of the monitors with the lowest input lag, which is as far as I know just between 3-4ms. This argument was then voted time and is still synonymous for 60 Hz monitors, but now the technology is mature. The advantage of TN (switching times) may be felt at most for professionals, but even I doubt that.
So primarily it is important to me for CS: GO, which is better suited for this, but also play other games as mentioned above. In CSGO I would say 140-160 FPS on average.
And that is the AOC Curved is not a disadvantage for CSGO or how?
TN panels are pretty good for playing, but they have a strong viewing angle dependency. A few degrees can falsify colors / brightness / contrast. VA panels have a better contrast and hardly any dependency on the viewing angle, but they are somewhat "sluggish". IPS panels have beautiful colors and hardly any viewing angle dependency, but are also a bit sluggish.
I have a VA panel and I play with it all, but I'm not a pro in shooters, I just play "just for fun", nothing bothers me yet.
Perfect would be a tube screen, but that's no longer synonymous and not in size.
Not in my opinion. Have a Curved Monitor and find it quite pleasant, but do not play CS: GO. In other shooters it does not bother me in any case. But it is not a plus point, just gimmick.
