New Nintendo 3Ds touchscreen not responding?

My sister's touchscreen doesn't work. He doesn't respond to anything. Everything goes except that. We have switched off the Nintendo several times and it can't be recalibrated either.

Is there a way to not buy a new one?

If there's a hardware error (which I rarely suspect), it is best to go to an authorized dealer who is specified for Nintendo's console. Never try it yourself. The employees are trained personnel. It's best to drive to Krefeld on Monday and have it repaired. Doesn't cost much.
