You should be able to create your own character and defeat bosses or dungeons. It has to be open world and you shouldn't have to earn strange money like with Black Desert and you should have a good advantage when you grind.

If you are looking for a modern MMORPG you should keep an eye on New World. The release has been postponed in the meantime and has been set to spring 21, but when it is there it promises to be a very good MMORPG.
I played the beta and that alone convinced me that it could be good, what was missing was the content (that's why the game was postponed), but what you could see was very good and gives the old one Genre MMORPG new wind under the wings.
It is currently worth mentioning that it was initially developed exclusively for the PC, but since Amazon is working on a cloud-based solution, it is quite conceivable that New World will become available on consoles in this way.
