My BenQ monitor has got a crack in the display, but I still have a new iMac. Can you somehow connect the monitor to the iMac so that I can see what I actually see on the monitor on the iMac? I gamble on the monitor playstation and the iMac has no hdmi connection, so I know nothing at all.
You could try an HDMI to Thunderbolt cable, I don't know any other option
The only adapter I can find would be:

A good question, call Apple and ask there.
No, you can't. The new iMacs can no longer be used as a monitor. It used to go from Mac to Mac using the target display mode, but iMac has not had it for a few years. Your PayStation would not have supported it anyway.
As another very clear no, not even with any adapter.
