It is difficult to say what will be the optimum.

The interesting question is also whether the PS5 has WQHD support. Otherwise a corresponding monitor would probably be useless.

I use a WQHD monitor on which I also play with the consoles. However, both run in 1080p because they only offer the different picture modes on a 4K display. Bit stupid that a PS4 Pro on which most games run in 1440p anyway, runs on a 1440p monitor in 1080p and on a 4K in 1440p.

Hope the PS5 gets an option for 1080p, 1440p and 4K. Otherwise I would take a 4K monitor for the PS5. But wait and see what options there are.
