I sold a new PS4 controller (bundle removal i.e. Without original packaging and accessories) on eBay classified ads on May 21, expressly privately and without any warranty.
The buyer personally picked up the controller on May 21st and paid in cash. On June 3rd the buyer wrote me a message that the device was defective, that I had deliberately sold it like this and that he had reported me to the police for fraud.
I wrote to him that I would not discuss with him about 2 weeks after handover. If he had complained to me about a defect after 1-2 days, I would still be willing to talk. According to him, he would have definitely reported me now because I would have cheated on him. I find the statements from the buyer to be unfounded and ridiculous, but I still wanted to ask the community for advice.
I wish him the best of luck
He was with you, could have tested it, bought it as seen, how do you want to find out if it is exactly the controller and not just one that he broke? Should he show you calmly he must be able to prove that he was defective when buying.
Should he show you.
1.Bought as seen, who could have tested it on your premises
2. Does he have to prove that the controller was already defective at the time of purchase.
Serial number noted? Is not wrong with such sales.
Unfortunately not
