Can I pause a PS4 update and turn off the console?

You can pause a download or an update on the PS4. But can you switch off the PS4 so that when you switch it on again the update is at the same level without having to start a new one?

You can pause it and then turn off the PS4. The next time you turn on the PS4, it either turns on again by itself or you just have to turn it on again. You don't have to do the whole update again… For example, if you are updating from 5000Megabite, you do 3000Megabite before switching off and then switch off the PS4. When you turn the PS4 back on, the update continues at 2000Megabite.
