PS5 or Xbox Series X. If you had to choose a next gen console, which would you prefer?
But only because, actually, all buddies have ne horsepower. Otherwise I would take a XBOX, I would not care about design.
It's about performance
The xbox has even more power, the xbox always had more power.
So no design convinced me, PlayStation looks packaged, the Xbox… Yes… Like a cuboid. But the Xbox fits in my Kallax shelf, after all
The PS games didn't convince me, nor the Xbox games. I honestly just waited for a game from the Tom Clancy series (or as it is called) and Forza, unfortunately without success.
In terms of performance, the Xbox has an advantage again, a serious advantage for me, especially when I play demanding games.
the controller: the PlayStation controller looks pretty strange to me like the console, the Xbox controller hasn't really changed, but I was already very happy with the old one. Especially with the Elite Controller
The Xbox collects plus points for the better crossplay option with PC
Conclusion: Xbox, even if I play 90% on the pc.
He / she said "But only because, actually all buddies have ne PS"
"Otherwise I would take a XBOX"
I'm the total PC player. But if I had to choose to buy a console I would take the PS5
Definitely, the games were more convincing, they should be (slightly) better and you can't beat the game pass
My last PS was the PS1, and I've had every Xbox generation since then. But because of the exclusive titles, I can no longer bear it personally. Especially since everything worth mentioning also comes for the PC. And the game offer for me is the only significant difference, apart from the controller.
But always amusing when I read here regularly "because the Xbox has more power". Maybe you should take a closer look at the technology. 🤦🏻
The difference is minimal. For most games, 60hz at 4k will be the maximum anyway. (If anything. You can see from AC: Valhalla that this is also not guaranteed.).
At 120hz, very few games will run at first and then mostly old-age games.
On the Xbox, these are currently (supposedly) the following:
Dirt 5
ExoMecha
Gears 5
Halo Infinite (Multiplayer only)
Metal: Hellsinger
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Orphan of the Machine
Second Extinction
I also strongly doubt that most people own a TV with a corresponding panel and HDMI 2.1, because there aren't even that many and these are relatively expensive. 😄 And someone who plays on a monitor and apparently attaches so much importance to performance is better off with a PC anyway.
The slight advantage in terms of performance will only come into play, if at all, with exclusive titles, since no developer optimizes his game for the respective console with third party titles. (The same applies to any advantages of the PS5 due to the faster SSD). And when it comes to exclusive titles, Sony clearly offers more "performance". 😄
And what do you expect from "more performance", which is initially only available on paper. Graf It is likely that graphic differences will practically not be visible to the naked eye. (Anyone who has looked at various graphic comparisons of different titles in the past will know that).
That certain "more" of performance has to be fully exploited by the software (we're years away from that).
