Is it possible to connect microphones everywhere?

Personally, I'm not very familiar with the subject matter, so please have leniency. Incidentally, I'm from the RØDE NT1A and the RØDE Procaster.

I know that most mixers output the audio through a 3.5mm jack.

Now I'm wondering if I can connect my microphone via a splitter (headphones, microphone) to an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 controller.

From the setup, the microphone would go through the XLR cable into the mixer, which outputs the audio at the end by 3.5mm jack. The headset has a permanently installed microphone, which would be switched off with a switch on the hardware. These two 3.5mm jack plugs (1x headset, 1x mixer) would then be connected to the corresponding input in the splitter (headphone; microphone) on the Xbox or PlayStation Controller.

Am I wrong?
Would the setup work?
Does anyone have a similar setup or the ability to replicate the time and desire of this setup?

I would be very happy about a detailed answer or reasonable answer!

Please explain first what a "Mirkofone" is!

Theoretically, it should be possible but you should think about whether this is really necessary.

Excuse me. It should of course be called microphones

I have never used the microphones for this because I need them for other purposes and to be honest, they are also too expensive for the console. Alone the principle of the setup interests me.

You really only need a matching adapter for your problem then you can plug headphones into one jack and the other your microphone or the output of the Rode prodcaster

While I'm not fully aware of your setup plan, I can tell you how I did it.

Microphone via XLR to the mixer
Connect the headset or headphones to the phones output on the mixer
For example, With an adapter like the Behringer LINE 2 USB from the console via USB with the 6.3 mm jack into your mixer
Connect the mixer either via USB to the console or from the main output of the mixer also with a Behringer LINE 2 USB in the console

Actually that should work. I have not tested it myself but it should work as I said.
