Microsoft Flight Simulator stuck checking for updates. What to do?

The Microsoft Flight Simulator was released recently and since I have the XBox Game Pass for PC I wanted to test it, but when I start the game it says "The data can't be synchronized with the cloud" and I didn't have any alternative to playing offline. That's not a problem for me. I could set general things and then he would check for updates. Now he's still looking for updates. Do you know why that could be?
