Is it worth playing my old Xbox360 games on Xbox One?

I ordered an Xbox one x and since the Xbox is backwards compatible, I wonder if the games are playable on the newer consoles. Is the graphics screwed up? Does it run smoothly? Is it almost the same game if I play Skyrim for the 360 on the one or skyrim xbox one on the one?
