Character runs automatically in unreval, what should I do?

I bought the game Unreval last night. I play with an Xbox controller and in the game the character always automatically scrolls to the left and the selection automatically jumps down in the menu. In other games the controller works normally and if I only play with the keyboard it doesn't change anything. I've already checked for faulty files with Steam and uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but none of them worked.

Unplug everything from USB devices that is not absolutely necessary.

Try to start the game only via the Origin Client, otherwise you might fumble. Steam with its own controller settings in between.
