Nintendo DSi XL An error occurred?

I have a problem with my Nintendo DSi XL. Every time I try to open a program or a game or even just the settings, the screen goes black and I get an error message. What can be the reason? And how can you fix this problem?

Do you have the latest version? Start again. If not, I think your DS is simply extremely old and at some point every device gives up.

The Nintendo is old. That was the first version of the DSi XL. I just thought maybe I could fix it myself.

I'm unfortunately not familiar with that
