Nintendo DSi, DSi XL or 3DS?

I want to make my childhood dream come true and get a Nintendo. I have various offers, including ~ 50 euro DSi, 84 euro DSi XL and a 3DS that is currently being offered (would be around 77 euro). What would you recommend? 3DS?

Since I have no idea how it works with these cards (I heard about R4 and R3), I would need some help. Pulling games from the Internet for free is illegal, but is it still possible for everyone or how is it? Can I already buy "finished" game collections from private providers and is there a risk that the Nintendo will be blocked? Would hate to spend a lot of money on more games. Is the probability of getting caught if you download something there?

Sure, switch is new. I don't want to buy one because it's very expensive. New cell phone is also on the list, that's why.

Homebrew is the ability to install other software than nintendo allows. You can also compare it to jailbreak or root. The friendcode file is a file that identifies your NDS and nintendo can block it.
