Question is above, but would like to say a few things and ask, which may have influence on your answer:
At that time had the Lite, whose battery has probably suffered very much from the time necessary third-party cables. (The relevant end of the original cable had a ne car ride on the road.) This whole webcam and 3D era, I've heard with friends, but never really developed interest or interest. In short: I do not need that.
In addition, it should be mentioned that my renewed interest is mainly based on The Legend of Zelda (as far as possible entire series) and Mario (Everything there's from Bros. On Kart and Galaxy). Two completely new franchises for me. To what extent are these digitally available in the e-shop, what is available in the shop, which is only needed? Have some old games from back then, do they run on newer models?
From "This is all on the Nintendo website" reply, please refrain from me. That's where I come from and was a bit slain, because the game search spits everything out. Hope someone has time to help me individually.
The Nintendo New 2DS XL.
Why? 3D not needed and falls away (thus also cheaper)
Why not a Nintendo 2DS? The older you can't work. I feel that as a big disadvantage - just on the way.
In addition, the New 2DS has slightly more power and allows better gameplay and a few exclusive titles.
The Nintendo DS titles also fit into the device. So no problem (no more GameBoy Advance games)
As for availability - buy old titles from the DS as usual in the store. 3DS title you get all from the shop.
New 2DS XL is in the end a new 3DS but without the 3D gimmick which is negligible either way.
The thing plays you pretty much everything that exists for the ds family. Also the old DS games. Therefore, the library is huge.
In the eshop were several Mario and Zelda games. Which one do not know exactly? But at least 3 out of every franchise. But are usually a bit more expensive than the versions on maps.
As an alternative but also a lot more expensive you can get a switch. Already has one. Pair of Zelda titles. And also Mario title on it. Especially the very old for the virtual console. And now also a pretty big game library.
Thanks for the suggestion, but for me it was all about the handheld factor. Of course, Breath of the Wild does not work on the DS, but I also play PC and PS4. Ne second Stationary console I think superfluous, and in handheld mode, it is still too big for me, since my hands are severely limited. Nevertheless, good complement, thanks for that!
Ah. I actually think it's pretty good for handheld. As far as mobility is concerned, my switch has replaced my ds. Especially the even bigger screen. But yes. In your case, a new 2DS XL is certainly the better choice. Especially since then you can play your ds games so that you still have.
