Nintendo 3DS / 2DS or Nintendo Switch Lite?

I have to endure bed rest for a week or two and still wanted to have something to do.

Which console would you recommend to me? One of the 3DS / 2DS models or a Switch Lite?

I don't want to spend too much, so no standard switch, because the version costs a lot more and I would like to have something for on the go anyway (as soon as I feel better ^^)

On the Switch I would be interested in a Breath of the Wild and on the DS consoles Ocarina of Time (I loved it back then) but there are certainly more cool games on the consoles. Maybe you can recommend a few to me right away. It would be great if there was a story.

If you recommend the DS to me, which model? The 3D function is not that important to me to be honest.

Remember that the games also cost something.

My budget is around 200 euro.

There are worlds between DS and Switch. The performance and especially the graphics are much better with the Switch Lite.

wo

I guess I'm interested in the old games too

Te

Some older games for Wii, Wii U, and 3DS have already been emulated for the Switch. However, Nintendo has not yet started the Virtual Console program.

wo

What is the Virtual Console program?

Do you know if Ocarina of Time works on the Switch? Or Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess?

Te

The VCP is a system developed by Nintendo that is supposed to emulate older games and make them available for the Switch. And no, I don't know.

I would recommend the switch lite because the 3ds and 2ds are quite old and have less power. If you are only interested in the games and the switch games don't appeal to you at all, I would of course get a 3ds.

Za

Skyward Sword is actually getting a remake on the Switch this year.

El

So I would definitely get the Nintendo Switch lite because the others are just a bit older and the nintendo switch lite is pretty good for its price.

Here are the e.g.: cheap:

3DS is 10 years old and is no longer in production, only had handheld games.

Switch is up to date with new home console games.

The choice shouldn't be difficult.

The large one is cheaper than the Lite, however, because of the larger scope of delivery. If you buy it with the Lite, you are more expensive.

Well, I just like something like Ocarina of Time. I mean, there was definitely that on the 3DS. But I'm also interested in Breath of the Wild. And otherwise there are sure to be a lot of good games on both consoles.

Ca

You can use them all on the go, including the "TV" switch, because it is a hybrid console. You should rather go for what the games cost, because for Switch you can rarely find them for less than 60 euro, while 3DS games, depending on the developer (Tendo NEVER goes down with the prices!), Are sometimes thrown behind.
In the eShop there are also games in lower price ranges and demos for both system families.

Just a little warning on the side because you're interested in Breath of the Wild: There are some shrines that require motion sensors, which can be a bit tricky on Lite if you have to hold the thing over your head all at once.
