Which Minecraft version is it?

I've been playing Minecraft on my Nintendo Switch for about 2-3 years. I enjoy watching gaming on YouTube, but mostly Minecraft videos. For example, I like to watch LarsLP. He makes really great Minecraft videos but in some videos he says, for example, that is only possible in the Java / Badrock version. ''

So I take my Switch and go to Minecraft. As soon as I'm on the title screen, I don't see which version it is. I'm not sure anymore, but e.g. In the Badrock (it was the Badrock, wasn't it? 😅) the armor stand can dance. Not in Java

My armor rack can't do that

In Java you can change the color of the sign for this

Well I can't do that either…

Gl

It's called Bedrock

In German foundation stone

Oops sry

Ja

Bedrock *
Actually I would have guessed it, but if you lack functions, there could also be a separate switch version. It's definitely not a Java version that's for sure.

Eg

As far as I know, the Switch also runs on Bedrock, which is why different devices can be played together. I can't explain why it doesn't work for you.

You don't have java either way, it only works on computers. Bedrock has actually been standardized for other devices

As

Do you have the Minecraft for Nintendo Switch Edition or the new version?

At the very beginning the Switch only had the for Switch Edition, that was the one without Marketplace, …

The new edition is based on the Bedrock version.

Po

I don't know exactly but have a marketplace

ro

"Bedrock".

The Switch had its own version, but this was integrated into the Bedrock version some time ago.

As

Then you should have the new edition. The old one only had the minigames and hardly anything else

OK thanks
