Another game module at Switch, scores still there?

I lost a game module from the Nintendo Switch. Now I have tons of stuff on it that I need. What I want to know if I buy the game again and insert it into my switch, the scores should be on it right?

As far as I know, the Switch stores all game data on the internal memory.

If you have a buddy who has the game, you can try it out. I'm pretty sure it is.

The scores are saved on the console. Only the game itself is on the module.
