Can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of the Nintendo Switch? I have been considering buying one for a while, but I would like to find out more about it… Tell me about your experience. ☺️
Advantage: drive very often and a long train so it is a good pastime.
Disadvantage: is currently only next to my PC because I'm no longer running a train.
Benefits:
Portable
Nintendo First Party games
Inexpensive for a mobile device
relatively stable in price
Disadvantage:
restricted access to games (number of titles)
relatively expensive for performance
poor performance
Expensive accessories & internet access
Expensive games
In my opinion, the biggest advantage of the Switch over other consoles is that the Exclusive titles complement a gaming PC much better.
I personally have a gaming PC and benefit from the switch with e.g. Playing his Mario (Mario Odysee, Kart, Party) and Super Smash Bros. In my opinion, much more than e.g. From a Playstation because I can find most of the game genres there on the PC. I can also play on a PC with a gamepad if I want to.
The console is very valuable for nostalgics, I used to play a Nintendo 64 and often SNES with friends. The Switch offers all NES and SNES games and soon all games of the 3D Super Mario main series (e.g. Super Mario 64) will be ported to the Switch, I'm very happy! Mario Odysee is also a great, classic 3D Mario game.
So as a complement to the gaming PC, I highly recommend the switch.
The disadvantage of the switch is the low performance, which is the case with the above. Playing doesn't really have a negative impact.
Games such as I would not recommend Witcher 3 or Fifa 20 on the switch, other systems are much more suitable for that. For me, the PC.
