I bought a protective cover a few days ago, on Müller for my Nintendo. But later I saw at home that the protective film for a 2dsxl Nintendo is, but have a 3dsxl, fortunately still had the receipt and then went to Müller. Wanted the shell back and hold back my money, because this stupid shell has cost 5 euro. Anyway, I said, I would like to give back. And the woman like that, yes either they are looking for something new, or they get a coupon from here. Me, so I can't get my money back? So you choose either coupon or something. Then I said oke then the coupon. It was super funny, that the money if you want to give something back does not get back but a stupid coupon or choose to choose from. I really think that's money making (because I really did not see it for the other Nintendo.) Anyway, I just told my dad and he said, you do not normally do that. Because, you can decide between voucher, something that has the same price, or get the money back. I wanted to ask, is that right? Could I have got my money back? If so, I think that's really cheeky, would be curious what she would have done if my dad had been there, because he would not have accepted immediately, like me. Well just wanted to ask if she can do it or not, or if she did that extra. Is this only with Müller, or sometimes at other stores? Has anyone had experience with it? Would like to know what my rights are "
Your rights are: bad luck if you buy something wrong. Be glad that one was courteous, and exchanged.
If it was broken, then you would have other rights (but even then there's still necessarily money back)
Not*
You - your dad and you - are wrong. Müller would not even have to take the case back. You bought a wrong article and the seller can't do that.
The fact that Müller offers an exchange or a voucher is pure goodwill and actually one should be grateful for that.
Unfortunately, over the decades, a strange "fully comprehensive mentality" has crept in with us and is now regarded by many as a normality.
You have no right to exchange if you do not like it!
That you got a coupon is very generous and accommodating!
They might as well have sent you home with the thing!
The only exception here is when a business advertise that you can exchange everything for no reason
