When I was on vacation years ago, I bought a disc for the Nintendo Ds that contained 315 games in one. Now I have a Nintendo 3Ds and unfortunately the disc does not work on it, although the package also says "Nintendo 3Ds". Does anyone know why this is?
The disc also has an SD card in it, maybe it's still important to know.
Thank you in advance!
It may be because there's a regional lock - i.e. H. The German consoles can only recognize the PAL version of a game - whereas the American consoles / games are sold as NTSC versions.
From the Nintendo 3DS upwards, the games / handhelds have a region lock (also the 2DS) - so your game was still playable on the older DS console.
This means that you can't play American or Japanese games on a European device - even if the games contain German titles.
