Pre-order to play the game earlier?

I pre-ordered a game on my Ps4 for the first time (Subnautica Below Zero). It should actually be playable from 2:05 pm, but I now have a countdown when I can play and it ends tomorrow at 2:00 pm? Is it normal that I can play earlier when I pre-order or how come?

Unless downloaded now, I think it's more like the date you can download it. If that has already happened, it is the start date.
