If the pre-orders are open from September 22nd, will they be available from midnight or will you still get information from when?
My question: until when can you pre-order it? Can anyone pre-order them or is pre-order no longer available if a certain number has been pre-ordered?
They have never been and will not be limited.
That's why you have pre-orders that everyone receives them by the release at the latest.
And of course anyone can pre-order them!

Yes.
The pre-orders are not limited. If there are really bottlenecks, however, this is no guarantee that you will really get a console for the release.
If the dealers only have a limited number of items in stock, this usually follows the order in which the pre-orders were received. Therefore I would order as early as possible. I don't expect the console rush to be this big right from the start, especially with the Xbox.
So far there's no further information about the start, so I would (as of now) assume that you can pre-order from German retailers from midnight. (22.09.)
At Microsoft, the consoles are not limited compared to Sony.
So anyone can order without registering or the like, you can basically buy 10 pieces at the same time, with the new Playstation they are so limited that everyone only gets one console.
The drama was there with Ps4 back then, you can't manage as many as there are interested parties because pre-orders for the new consoles will be very limited
and it will be hard to get one for the first few months
You again… Neither Sony nor Microsoft can stop producing so much that the first batch is enough for everyone

As you know, Sony doesn't have that many units to sell. That means that not everyone gets a console: -D

If you "correctly" pre-ordered at the time and not from any dubious or secondary dealer sites, then you got the console in time. (do not pre-order 1 week in advance)
That was also the case with the ps3 unx xbox 360 and will be the same again this year…
:) That was also the case with the Ps2 (although the 899DM cost half a month's wage at the time)
At the beginning of the Ps3 it wasn't like that, which had a relatively bad start, probably also the high price and the game cucumber gschultet that existed in the first place (motor storm is one of the biggest junk I've ever gambled)
The crux of the matter is, however, PS4 and Xbox One could be pre-ordered quite soon after the press conference in the spring (I had my One on time at the time) and this time for both manufacturers that is not the case, so one assumes a release at the end of November (that's how it was before 7 years with Current gen) then this time we have just 2 months in advance
