DayZ: Alt F4 exit without loss of loot?

The question actually refers to the ps4 version. What is meant is an off-app exit, which is done on a Windows PC via Alt + F4 and on the ps4 in the menu on the game icon → Options → Close application

Do you lose your loot if you end the game in progress or do you always have to log out in-game first?

When you log out, your files (inventory and clothes and position) are saved in the database of the server…

If you simply cancel the game, this process is omitted and nothing is saved…
