As described above, I wanted to ask how the story of Kratos is.
So I don't know God of War very well but I know a few things. Didn't play the predecessors because I hadn't had a PS4 yet, and only know in the sense that he is a Greek god who had to climb Olympus, etc.
What I'm concerned with is whether you have played the predecessors to understand the story about Kratos. How did Kratos get to the north? The current part of God of War plays in the northern realms of their gods and mythology (which I really celebrate because I love this topic anyway)
Is this explained to you in the course of the game or is it explained why and how he got there and why he is dead at the beginning of the game? Or is it just another scenario without a background?

You don't have to have played the old parts, but I strongly recommend them to you. They are really good games! Just watch this video here, it doesn't even take 10 minutes and you will learn everything you need to know about Kratos. You will find out the rest in the course of the plot of God of War 4. Have fun playing!
