I would like to play God of War Ragnarok but have never played a gow before I had thought about playing god of war from 2018 what came out for the ps4 would that be enough for me and to be inside the matter?
The 2018 is really good has such a retro charm and shows that open world is not a must…
Since Kratos doesn't like to talk about his past anyway, you probably don't have to have played it
So I would highly recommend the 2018 version if you intend to understand Ragnarök, as it ties in with the events of the last part. The other parts are not a must. They are still good games but God of War (2018) is very different in style from its predecessors and is more of a simple slaughter of gods than that it has a deep story compared to other story games. My opinion. Good story but very short and unspectacular. At the beginning I looked at a summary of the last three parts on YouTube in order to be able to start the 2018 version in peace with a certain background knowledge of Kratos. I'm glad I did it that way, because firstly, I'm not the biggest fan of the predecessors and secondly, it was really fun to see parallel parts of the old parts in the sequel. When I was finished I also treated myself to the other parts because I had praised the sequel to heaven and I have not regretted it, but they are by far no "must have" titles and also no titles that I would necessarily play again. God of War (2018) is something completely different. I have the game min. Played 2 times to 100% and it's a lot of fun both in terms of story and gameplay. Sometimes a bit monotonous in the fights, but that would be leaders on a high level compared to the strengths of the game.
So in summary: First look at a summary of the first three canon parts and then start with the 2018ner version. I looked at the summary several times in the middle of the game because sometimes something seemed so strange and you wanted to understand the cart of a sentence or a scene because otherwise your head would have blown away (yes, I really liked the game.), but I don't think that's surprising if you weren't in the subject like me or like you now. You can play the game (2018) without a summary, but at some points you would ask yourself why e.g. Such epic music is playing in a certain scene…
Will mark what I mean ^^
Lg and have fun playing!
