Is Lords of the trap comparable to god of war?

I played god of war (ps4) with pleasure and am now looking for something similar.

Lords of the fallen looks so damn good. Can you compare it somehow?

Will I get my money's worth?

Or should I start a new Game + at god of war?

No, it's more like a Dark Souls game. So similarly difficult.

Heavy is not a problem. I'm concerned with fighting and leveling up weapons and armor.

I never touched dark souls
