Playstation identity verification?

I received an email from Playstation support today and it says that I should send my driver's license to them so that they can verify my identity. My question: Does anyone know how long it takes until I get my registration id, how long does it take until they have checked it?

Check whether this is not a "fake" and which server sent the mail.
