How do I start the Yak 38 in War Thunder?

At some point I also wanted to fly the Yak 38 from the Soviets and it struck me that it was standing quite far in front on the aircraft carrier, so there were hardly any take-off possibilities. After doing some research, I found out that a kind of flap behind the cockpit has to open, and it then practically rises up instead of driving forward and taking off.
I wanted to do it that way too, but I couldn't. I pressed every button on the PS4 controller but nothing happened. I just can't find the button or whatever to take off.

I think you activate VTOL on the PS4 by holding the left button on the D-pad. Then you can steer up and down with the right joystick.
