Does Gronkh's harvester still work in Minecraft?

After a few years I started Minecraft again and wanted to rebuild Gronkh's old harvester. Unfortunately, most of the plants just disappear when used and therefore wanted to ask if it still works or if it does not work properly anymore due to an update (possibly Aquatic). Did not find anything in the changelogs. Incidentally, play on the current PS4 version.

They do not disappear, they just stick together to avoid laggs. The machine works as it used to.

And why do I end up having only 30 pieces after cultivating 128 carrots?

I can't tell you that. I use these farms today as before and have no problems with that.
