How do I download the latest updates from ARK Survival evolved (ps4)?

I have a question. I have the game ARK on the Ps4 and noticed that there are some updates missing! (I noticed that I don't have some dinosaurs, such as otters etc.). Does anyone know how I can get / download these updates? Or will it stay that way?

First free up memory, then you should get a huge update by yourself, which then takes a while, if you have some memory free you can click on the Ark file in the options menu and then on "Check for updates" then you should Get update

First of all thanks for the quick reply! I just freed up 160 GB and did what you said. However, it says that I have to register with the PlayStation Network. And I would not like to put money into an online account if I don't use it. Is that the only way to solve it?

Yes you have to register with the Playstation Network, if you want to play online you also have to buy Ps +

That is exactly what I would like to avoid. I just want the newer updates to be able to do more with the game. Online is not for me
