Have no idea and need help. Got a ps4 and dbd. Game inserted and it would like an update immediately that should take 3 hours. Is that normal? Also, does it need a patch?!
Of course that's normal. When you first load the game, it will want to download all updates that have come out since the release. And the length of the download depends on how good your internet is.

For what? From the context I conclude that you mean the update, you don't need a PS Plus for that. In games it is like this:
If you buy a game and want to play it online, you need PS Plus.
You don't need a PS Plus offline.
With free to play games like Fortnite you don't need a PS Plus for online so that everyone can play.
But there are also some games that are multiplayer only, so you need 100% PS Plus for them.
