Does the Ps5 have better graphics than the Rtx 2080 super?
No certainly not. The RTX2080Super already costs more than the Playstation 5.
Best wishes
No. But with the appropriate optimization, the games will look very good and you won't even notice the differences at first glance.
Better graphics for sure! It may be that one or the other graphics card is stronger than the next gen console, but these graphics cards only raise the fps number and the resolution, with consoles usually dropping fps and resolution as much as possible so it can be especially in at the beginning of a nextgen console that the games are on par or even better.
The PS5 is a complete system. The RTX 2080 Super is just a graphics card.
Therefore, the PS5 has better graphics because they work and you can't even start the operating system with a graphics card alone.
But if this was built into a worthy computer, then of course it is better than the PS5.
The games were already adapted for the PS4 through appropriate optimizations. Some textures were displayed more blurred, especially at a distance, textures lose their sharpness. This is not possible with the PC, it simply can't be set. You hardly notice something like that and are more interested in what is in the foreground, but the difference is in the background.
Where the PS4 could not display some details so well, the textures were simply placed in a kind of shadow, so it was not noticed that details there did not look so good. Plants are even simply removed and trees have fewer branches and leaves, on the PC this would simply eat up performance, the PS4 gave this optimization the opportunity to display the textures better.
Often there's still motion blur, which means that the quality of the textures in the movement can be reduced again, because this is not noticeable due to the blurring! In some games, the resolution of the textures was changed even during major battles, although the resolution of the output remained the same. This function of variable resolution was even adopted for the PC port for Horizon Zero Dawn on the PC. Here you select the resolution and the desired FPS and if the FPS drop, the scaling of the resolution varies without you noticing, in order to keep the FPS stable.
The same systems are used for the PS5!
And what you don't have to consider. Many games that have come out for the PS4 and the PC have not even brought my old graphics card (980ti) to its 100% limit at 1080p with 60 FPS. It was far from it. The 60 FPS limit was sometimes not even reached at 1440p and the PS4 has only dreamed of this. Even with the games that are coming out for the PS5, compared to my 2080ti, I expect my processor to be my limit rather than the graphics card.
And the game ports are usually so badly ported that the processor tends to slow down or the full performance of the computer is not even used. The full power is only used for games that were actually released for the computer.
A little hint. A lot of marketing involved. The tricks in front and behind.
How should such a small system contain a complete pc? Of course it's optimized, but still. The consoles don't have a graphics card either, but a chip. Maybe the consoles will come close to ne 2080, but only bend and break.
Suddenly nvidia announces the 30xx series and I'm glad to have switched to PC ^^
