My headphones, which I have connected to the Ps4Controller, often don't work (only the micro doesn't work), e.g. I play quite normally and can also speak quite normally, but suddenly the micro doesn't work anymore without me having grief and then it doesn't work for a long time.
It is probably because you have a loose contact on the microphone.
On the other hand, you can't really do much except get a new one.
