Here's the situation: My girlfriend has a PS4 that she occasionally plays with in a room that is currently free. Now I will buy her a repeater so that your connection will be more stable because the room is a good distance from the router.
However, I also use the network with my desktop and rely on fast download and upload rates. Not to forget an impeccable stability when working, streaming and the business-related zoom calls.
So my questions are:
Does a repeater ensure lower bandwidths in the entire Wi-Fi network?
How much would I have in the download if my girlfriend was playing? So on the desktop an approximately 300GB file with a 50 VDSL line.
Is it possible for me to get full stability and maximum bandwidth when it is online and at the same time, let's say gaming online, have a zoom meeting on the second screen, download a manuscript with an approximate size of 60GB and open a few Chrome tabs and additional applications like for example Discord or Premiere Pro without influencing you negatively in a Fortnite match?
Thank you dear community.
Edit: My desktop runs directly into the Fritz Box via LAN
You can't want the full range and expect that it won't be disturbed while playing.
You can't say in advance who gets how much, but online games on the PlayStation use next to no bandwidth.
Incidentally, the repeater does not change anything for the negative.
If you want to be sure, you need a router that supports QoS (Quality of Service) definitions
Alright thanks!
