Why are old Switch games still expensive?

I have owned a Switch with Animal Crossing for 3 months (got it for free).

I lost interest in Animal Crossing because the game is too repetitive and that's why I wanted to get games like "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" or "Smash Ultimate".

I would like to buy the games used because these games are old anyway but are still played by many.

Why are used Switch games as expensive as sealed games?

I don't have the budget for "new" games and the games are unfortunately not on sale like at ps4.

Nintendo rarely lowers the prices of its draft horses. Not even with the old consoles.

Instead, they even re-publish old titles and sell them at full price. 😄

Regarding the questioner: boycott the purchase and get enough others to do the same. Then the prices will surely be lowered 🐈

This is because these games can be sold at these prices because there are no alternatives: /

If you need games, you unfortunately have to buy them at these prices, Nintendo has been doing this for generations.

If you're lucky, you'll find one or the other game a little cheaper on sites like Ebay or ReBuy, but that's not always the case.
