I noticed that when I turn off my PS4 (phat version) completely, there are still strange, quiet noises. As if something was going on inside. I don't think it's the CD drive, it's too quiet for that. I think it's the hard drive.
It only stops when I pull the plug. I always switch off the PS4 completely, it is never in standby mode.
Do you have that too? Turn off your PS4 and wait until it has completely shut down. Then keep your ear close to the console and tell me if you can "hear" something. It's pretty quiet, but you can hear it clearly.
Do you know what that is and how it can be fixed without I always having to pull the plug?
Maybe the hard drive needs a short while to save something, wait 10 minutes after switching off and see if it is then gone
Had the same problem but it went away after a while or I got so used to it that I wasn't taking it anymore.
10 mins? This sound runs non-stop 24/7 even though the console is off
