Xim Apex and Astro a 50 gen 4?

I connected an xim Apex to my ps4 and wanted to get an Astro a 50 gen4 I wanted to ask if I could just use it or if the xim didn't work

Yes you can just use it anyway via optical and not usb connected. And another question is why do you want to get the A50? There's much better you can get for the price and the A50 is not exactly cheap. I also want to ask why you play with Xim Apex purely out of interest.
