Astro A40 vs Astro A50 (both Gen.4 and I want to use the headset on a PS4)?
A40 is just with cable. If you have an external sound card that's really cool. And both are cozy. The a50 is unfortunately a bit overpriced.
What do you think (if you leave out the price for the time being) which I should buy, i.e. From the purely technical (like comfort, audio)?
I have the a40 and the cable doesn't bother me. But without a cable is nice. Hmm hard decision. You can hang any sound card in front of the a40. Not in front of the a50. But technically they are pretty much the same.
And how about the 3D sound? Does this exist on the PS4 and does the A50 have the same functions without the MixAmp, just on the headphones?
Can't say anything about the sound of the a50 because I've never tested it for long. But I'm assuming that both sound similar, only that the a40 will be a bit fuller and louder. But I don't know.
