How important is your own profile at Fortnite?

How important is your own profile in Fortnite? So a few days ago I got a donation of ps4 and started to play fortnite, I'm also convinced that I will find my place and come in with the time, but the beginning is extremely difficult, because most are much more experienced and continue, accordingly my profile does not look good. 40 solo games and probably 8 kills. (At the beginning I mainly play solo). Also think that it will not necessarily be so much better the next time.
