Why did fake ps4 controllers work?

I bought a fake ps4 controller so that I have 2. My buddy scrapped his and discovered that which is not original, since it is much cheaper than the ps4 controller, I also bought one. The thing is, it works. It is wireless via Bluetooth, but why doesn't it recognize ps4 that it is not original? The original is fine, but why the other? They have to notice that. The other ps4 controller is better than the original everywhere, more battery life, is better in the hand. Only the boxes and the quality don't feel good, but perfect for gaming. Why is that?
