I've owned the Playstation VR for two years and I just love it. But I'm slowly tempted to buy a new VR headset. For me, the Oculus Quest would be an option because I just can't take the tangle of cables with the PlayStation Vr anymore. And tracking is just annoying for her. My question is whether it is worth buying an Oculus Quest even though you already have the PlayStation Vr.
I have also dared to make this change and can tell you that I do not regret it. Tracking is worlds better. The quest continues to get many updates… Especially with Oculus Link, you have a world open again.
Remember that of course you have to buy all games again.
The quest is better than the psvr, but only better and not stunning, you have to be aware of that.
the performance is not there and if you want more you need a pc, but then the question arises: why not a good pc hmd? In addition, you have a cable again (this is always there, unless a tpcast or vive wireless adapter is bought).
tracking is better, but not on the neaveau on outside / in tracking. It is slightly worse than that of the cv1. The best is currently the lht system from valve / htc. More is not possible in terms of accuracy.
the current plus point would be the controllers and the games, and possibly the possibility of being able to use them everywhere (no assembly and disassembly). If you like the change to an intermediate step (if you don't want to change again) and you have the money, then it would be an investment that would be worth it.
However, if you really want more and want to have real long-term fun without restrictions in terms of picture or games, then a pc hmd would be more suitable and just take money in hand.
depending on the genre taste, one or the other hmd is better or worse. If you name your preferred genres I could give you a recommendation.
otherwise just have a look here
