PSN trophy level?

Since yesterday I noticed on PSN that my trophy level has risen rapidly without having got a single trophy again. I was only level 13, now I'm 229 … But it has also increased in my list of friends of the others, with some of them rapidly as with me, again with a few it was only up to 36, so it increased significantly less with them.

Is this a new level system that I just don't know about or is it a bug that will probably last longer, until the next system update? Or was it a PSN event that promised a level and I took part in it without realizing it and apparently got hold of many levels?

Yes, with the introduction of the PS5 there's also a new trophy system. Previously the maximum level was 100, now it is 999. Your previous level was automatically adapted to the new system.
