Why can you only download modpacks with the Twitch installer from Minecraft at Curseforge?
Not correct. You can download individual mods and do not have to have the twitch installer
Because they somehow merged a few years ago and that's why curse is now part of twitch.
To download entire modpacks you need Twitch. Or do you want to download 50 mods or even more individually?

Twitch bought Curse a few years ago and integrated the Curse Launcher into Twitch.
You can also download the Modpacks without a Twitch.
