Capturecard for livestream?

I have an old gaming PC and run a youtube channel with it. Now I would like to stream my games and chat sessions, preferably on twitch. I downloaded OBS and found that my PC can display everything current in good quality, but that it reaches its limits when streaming. Now my question, would a live capture card help me to stream in 720p or 1080p without it jerking ingame or in the stream? Internet connection (down and uplaod are sufficient since I checked out the information) it's all about using a live stream capture card.

PC would be:

I7 7700k

Gtx 1070

32gb ddr4 ram

2tb hdd (video recordings)

500gb ssd (system and cache)

1tb hdd (games)

I would like to use a capture card from avermedia, (avermedia live) rather the 1080p card because I'm not interested in 4k because a stream usually runs on 720p or 1080p anyway.

Now the question is, will I successfully have a reasonable stream with a live stream capture card that has an integrated belief encoder?

Normally nothing should be jerking stream from your CPU and not from your GPU

You don't need a capture card with your PC. It's easily strong enough to stream in 1080p.

You also need a second computer for ne elgato, you already know that? What do you want to record? Resolution? Bit rate? Codec?

Jo

It always depends on what you want to play on the side. The PC is good enough for games with 60-100fps, high fps games could be a little different.

Cr

Getting a smooth live stream up and running is always a question of the configuration of OBS. I haven't been able to stream a game myself with a GTX 1060 and an i5-8600K.

Oh okay, I don't know my way around very well. I would like to stream in at least 720p. Bit rate I'm overwhelmed.

I really have problems with it, I read on the Internet that the i7 shouldn't be that great for a stream.

I mainly play apex legends and wow.

va

I tried that, however, as soon as something moves, jerky or an unclear picture. So it blurs

Which video encoder do you use?

In principle, you don't need a second computer for a capture card. (Only then is it not so useful because the PC in which it is installed still has to encode the stream)

First of all, it would be more important to determine where your bottle neck is. Is the GPU too busy? (e.g. Because you are recording with NVENC) or the CPU (x264)?

If your PC is generally busy and you have a budget, you can of course buy a second streaming PC.

In general, however, work on the encoder settings first or hold back when it comes to graphics.

Don't worry, it doesn't make sense either, you don't need a second computer for a capture card. Just like you have already mentioned the resolution and the codec is probably obvious with livestreaming (as already mentioned in the title), because someone just didn't read the question correctly.
